The First Bubble Explorer to Travel the World, M.E. – From the children book series: The Orange and Ginger Soapy Shampoo

From the kids’ book series The Orange and Ginger Soapy Shampoo: A Bubble’s Journey, we present a letter to you from the brilliant and courageous protagonist, Magellan Estefan (M.E.)  with a story before his big adventure.

Hello Everyone!

If you are reading this letter you might know a little bit about my trip around the world from the book series: The Orange and Ginger Soapy Shampoo: A Bubble’s Journey, and I’m guessing that you, too, would like to be an adventurer.

My dad, Columbus, loved traveling and told me stories about pink birds that slept standing on one leg, golden and silver scaled fishes of all sizes and brightly colored reefs in the all the oceans. He wanted me to travel the entire world, which is why he named me Magellan Estefan, after the brave Portuguese Explorer, the first man to travel around the globe.

But when I was young, my dad burst in a storm on his trip to North Carolina. It was very sad, but he always wanted me to be brave which is why I made a bold plan.

“I will travel the ENTIRE world and meet Bright Bubble and Blue Bubble!” Those two bubbles NEVER pop!”

“I will float through towns, over city lights and soar over the oceans. I will meet  countless species of animals and birds and visit tourist sites in every country!”  I’ll meet the tall pretty lady in NYC, it’ll be so much fun for me and my best friend Luminous (Lumy).

But… I was a little scared.

I know I am made of super-strong magical soapy shampoo stuff and I won’t pop easily but still, something doesn’t feel right. Every Saturday morning, I would plan to leave the orange and ginger soapy shampoo jar, but I would get too scared to leave.

That was until one Saturday Morning a huge breeze came blowing in the window and Lumy and I decided to go.

Lumy is so bubbly optimistic. He encouraged my dreams to go on a journey and so we did.

So, I carefully planned everything and when Momma Isabelle started to wash Amelia’s hair, we slipped away from the jar and floated towards an adventure of a lifetime!

We met so many wonderful friends along the way and checked off everything in my travel list! Friends like Lumy are awesome!.

If you would like to go on adventures as well, I suggest you find a travel buddy (your parents or grandparents) and read a little bit more about our adventures so you are well-prepared before taking off on your own journey!

Do you know about the secret way you can travel to meet the Blue Bubble (some people call him The Moon) and 8 giant colorful bubbles (why do some people call them planets?) If not, you must read Episode 7 in the magical book series: The Orange and Ginger Soapy Shampoo.

Or if you would like learning about animals from around the world, festivals celebrated in different continents and the answer to the age-old question: Where is the Sphinx’ nose? You can read about it all in Episode 9 of the series: The Orange and Ginger Soapy Shampoo.

Happy Adventuring,

Magellan Estefan (M.E.)
